By downloading or using PatchLab, you agree to these terms. Please read them before installing.
Beta software
PatchLab v1 is beta software provided for evaluation purposes. It may contain bugs, may change without notice, and is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Access may be limited (for example, by beta passcode) and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Your use of the app
PatchLab is intended to help you find and create Serum presets from audio you already have the rights to use. You're responsible for:
- Only analyzing audio you own or have permission to use.
- Complying with the license terms of Serum and Serum 2 from Xfer Records, which are required to use presets created or matched by PatchLab.
- Presets or patches you generate or export using PatchLab.
Preset library data
By using PatchLab, you agree that data from the Serum preset library you link (such as preset files and their parameters) will be uploaded to our servers. We use this data to improve preset matching and generation and to make PatchLab perform better for all users. Audio files you analyze are not uploaded. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
No warranty, limitation of liability
PatchLab is provided without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or this website, including data loss or lost work resulting from beta instability.
Intellectual property
PatchLab, its name, and branding are the property of their creators. Serum and Serum 2 are products of Xfer Records; PatchLab is not affiliated with or endorsed by Xfer Records.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as PatchLab moves from beta toward a stable release. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
