PatchLab is a beta macOS application that matches and creates Serum presets from audio you provide. This page explains what happens to your data when you use the app and this website.

Audio files

Audio analysis and preset matching against your library happens locally on your Mac. Audio files you analyze in PatchLab are not uploaded to any server.

Preset library

PatchLab uploads data from the Serum preset library you link (such as preset files and their parameters) to our servers. We use this data to improve how PatchLab matches and generates presets, and to make the app perform better for everyone. It is not sold to third parties.

Network use

Besides preset library uploads, PatchLab periodically connects to the internet to check for and download app updates and to transmit basic diagnostic data that helps us fix bugs during the beta. Audio analysis and preset generation themselves work offline — an internet connection is only needed for updates, diagnostics, and preset library uploads.

This website

This site (patchlab.duckdns.org) is a static page. It has no user accounts, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no cookies. The only server-side data collected is standard web server access logs (such as IP address, requested path, and timestamp), used solely for security and reliability, and automatically rotated and deleted.

Data we don't collect

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect payment information through this site.

Beta software

Because PatchLab is in active beta, diagnostic and crash information sent during updates may change as the app evolves. We'll update this policy if that scope changes materially.
